1. COVID-19 Cases Rise Again: Over 750 New Infections in a Week

India has reported 752 new COVID-19 cases in the past week, pushing the active caseload to over 1,000. Kerala remains the most affected state with 335 new cases, while Karnataka reported 37 new infections, 35 of which were in Bengaluru. The emergence of two new sub-variants, NB.1.8.1 and LF.7, has prompted health authorities to urge vigilance.

2. Gaurav Gogoi Appointed Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President

3. Guwahati CCTV Surveillance Project Reaches 45% Completion

The project aims to improve safety and traffic monitoring, and is expected to complete by September 2025.
